SCHACKTOBERFEST
Schack Art Center celebrates autumn with Schacktoberfest, a spirited harvest-themed exhibition showcasing the warmth, whimsy, and wonder of fall through the lens of local art and craft. The exhibition features a glass pumpkin patch with 1,000 glass pumpkins, over 100 artworks by regional artists, a Silent Auction in the Mezzanine Gallery, and “Make It Now” pumpkin sessions in the hot shop—bringing together a festive celebration of creativity and seasonal tradition.
Artist Reception
I am the newest resident artist to Studio 103. During the artist reception I will be giving a short talk and Q&A session on the concepts behind my work beginning at noon. Light refreshments will be served.
“Throughlines” grew from that curiosity about the visual connections that exist across the places we move through. Using line, color, shape and collage, Lori’s works explores the ways built and natural environments intersect, overlap and shape our sense of place.
